this cover ( like many others that we build ) has the multi wall polycarbonate roofing that is designed to allow light in and still shed water.it's a great product that is used on green houses for its UV protection, but does require some maintenence .but it more than makes up for it by virtualy eliminating deck maintenance.

replaced an ugly hand rail when we built this cover.soon to replace facia.and hopefully stairs and landing( they are not to code ). thedeck had problems as well ( not supported correctly) and a beautiful and costly deck material (brazilian tigerwood) installed carelessly. always look at your deck builders work from the past, there are a lot of wood butchers out there
